Chicago’s Land and Sea Department presented Fucked Up at the Garfield Park Conservatory July 6, 2015 with opening guests Doomsquad. The show featured various songs from the Zodiac series along with hits like The Other Shoe and Queen of Hearts with Doomsquad joining Fucked Up on stage for a nine piece wall of sound. This was my first time attending a show at the Garfield Park Conservatory and I was not sure what to expect from the venue. It was pouring rain outside and we entered the building and followed the signs to the show through the indoor gardens. Beers were pre-paid with ticket purchase and Shiner Bocks were waiting for us at the table near the entrance of the large greenhouse area. The rain continued to pour down throughout the show adding rhythm and ambiance to the glass enclosed greenhouse where the stage was located. The thunder, lightning and rain were a perfect segue between songs creating a truly unique venue experience.
